“ They've got some great home cooked meals on their menu. A friend recommended this place, specifically their cheeseburger subs. Their sub rolls are wonderful. My husband got the chicken cheesesteak and he said "it was worth the 40 min drive here". The cheeseburger sub was delicious, except the burgers were small and sort of got lost in the bun. My kids got chicken tenders and pizza. The pizza sort of reminded me of a chewy microwave pizza lol, but he didn't mind. I'd love to return and try other menu items. Our waitress was very nice and she did a great job tending to the whole back room of tables by herself on a Saturday night. The inside of the restaurant sort of reminds me of a micro sized Cracker Barrel restaurant. There is a cute general store out front with homemade pastries and snacks. ”
“ Takeout chicken Pot pie on Wednesdays = win-win. Book early. It sells out! I gladly recommend it. ”
“ You can never go wrong with country cooking. At least not with me. So once I saw they had all you can eat chicken pot pie on Wednesdays, I had to stop through. It did not disappoint. The portions are big, so big I wasn't even able to eat a second serving lol. The service was great. Plus with such a large menu, along with different daily specials, I'll definitely be returning soon. ”
“ This is a local, down home cooking kind of place. They have the best pot pie (Wed AYCE) & chicken croquettes (Tue), and great soups. If you want comfort food and a hearty meal, with reasonable prices, this is a good place! The service is almost always pleasant and prompt. It's not a quiet romantic location, but a cozy country-themed atmosphere. The locals eat here - just ask them their favorites. There is also a gas station out front with an attached mini-mart for to-go food, drinks, desserts and snacks. * BTW I bought turkey and filling from them for Thanksgiving, and they were fabulous!! Thanks Wagon! ”
“ Great place for home style cooking. The menu seems to be primarily sandwiches but there are also salads and entrees to choose from. I had the chicken cheesesteak salad with mixed greens, tomatoes, grilled onions, cheese, croutons and a pile of meat. I also had the stuffed green pepper soup which was one of the better version and not full of grease. There is also a small store filled with sweets (long johns, Whoopi pies, shoofly bars and more). They also have sandwiches and cold meals to go. ”
“ Great cheesesteak with really cool themed / uniquely named sandwiches. My girlfriend usually gets the cheeseburger sub and loves it as well. You'll never hurt for selection here and everything we've ordered has honestly been pretty well done so far. Your experience will vary depending on who's cooking that day but that's always made it more fun to see what little variations you might get that day. A little advice though- skip the fries and stick with the chips in our opinion, they're great chips but only ok fries ”
“ This is a cute diner that serves something for everyone. (Although I tried to go for an early breakfast, and they were closed. They open at 11am.) They have a large menu, with plenty of options. I have food sensitivities, and was able to find plenty of things to eat. I considered getting their pulled-pork which was on special, but I got their Chicken Salad Platter Salad instead (with no cheese or croutons, since I'm gluten & dairy-free). It is a mixed-greens salad with chicken salad on top. I also ordered a side of Red Beet Eggs, and that complemented it perfectly! Service was very friendly. I can't wait to return! ”
“ Recommended by a close friend of mine and so we decided to have her Birthday lunch there. Located in the beautiful town of Conestoga and don't drive too fast or you'll pass right by it. Seating was spacious and everything decorated with a welcoming feel. The sweet tea is sweetened just right. We both ordered the turkey with sides and it was absolutely delicious!!! I even ordered wings and had to take home!!! ( I couldn't even eat another bite after the turkey lunch ). I will be back to try out the other options on the menu. Can't wait !!! ”
“ They say gas station food you should eat at your own risk well this gas station restaurant I went to on recommendation of a local and when out of town eat where the locals do and they didn't disappoint. Had a simple angus cheeseburger and it was spectacular!!! Juicy and flavorful with an ice brown sear and it was a nice large 8oz burger with something special which I appreciated too bottom buns for a bun no oversized top bun which con sometimes throw off the meat to bread ratio. Spectacular eats and friendly honest staff ”
“ Solid classic American diner that's been in operation for over 40 years (since 1977) that also serves as the local gas station and convenience store. We ate here twice during our one week stay, which is saying a lot. I mean, yes, it was very conveniently next to our Airbnb®, so there's that--but, with that said, I'm not one to waste my calories on a crappy meal. Service was great both times and the prices of their meals here is unbelievably inexpensive. $5-7 in my neck of the woods barely buys one a cup o' Joe, let alone a full breakfast with the aforementioned Joe. I ordered their Conestoga Scrambler ($5.75/special $6.50/normal) and it was a terrific mash-up of eggs, onions, peppers, ham and cheese. I also "upgraded" my bread to the English muffin (25¢) and it was worth every penny. Fluffy, airy and a nice crisp. My second visit I got the Wagon Wheel Sampler ($6.50) that came w/ eggs, country potatoes and a protein of one's choosing; I chose a sausage patty. The eggs were cooked as specified, but the real star was the buttery and crisp country potatoes. I could've eaten a bucket of them. Rye bread is also an "upgrade" (25¢) but well worth it, as well. Great place to check out if you're in the area for an All-'Merican-style filling breakfast that's affordable and will fill you up. ”
